Mel provides approachable wellbeing support in the form of functional breathwork, somatic breathwork, integrative health and NDIS recovery coaching.

Working with Mel feels like a warm hug from a friend who just wants the best for you!
You'll find someone who'll hold you when you need support and safety, and someone who'll help you to create space to find your clear next steps.

She works by building foundations and rhythms which support the body and minds natural regeneration and healing.

This style of work can work well alongside your primary care team. It's based on using lifestyle as our medicine, improving how we digest 'stressors' in our lives, exploration of internal emotions and using functional breathing to support all parts of being 'human'.
MOMENT OF/ is a place where we create moments to pause and reflect on our inner-world.
The thoughts and feelings which sometimes lack space to be explored, meeting it all with compassion and gentle curiosity.
Melanie Proud
Shaped early in life, I’ve long been curious about what makes some grow through life’s challenges and adversity, while some become ‘stuck’ within it.

I've always been fascinated by how humans 'human'. Whats influences us to make the choices that we make.
That became a deeply personal internal question when, a decade into a fast-paced career in TV production, my health collapsed.

While coordinating world-class TV productions, I fell into a deep struggle with chronic fatigue (and a list of wild symptoms too long that it was no joke!)

It was VERY normal to push hard and feel exhausted in the industry, so for a really long time I ignored signals that something was really wrong.

I didn't want to let my team down, so I found ridiculous ways of coping and carried on pushing through, until eventually I couldn't. I was left in a really dark place, for a really long time.

Then came a decade of 'being scrappy' and finding a way out.

I turned to self-education. I took courses in health coaching, functional nutrition, breathwork and movement, all for me, all as a way of fixing myself from the inside out.

It was humbling and the most isolating time, but it opened my heart to a whole new way of experiencing life.
The turning point was when I could finally see the beauty in the wake-up call.
The experience formed a really lovely foundation of compassion — especially for those navigating invisible or long-term health challenges.
It taught me just how much lifestyle, emotional health and early life experiences impact our health (hello, repeating patterns!)

It took me a while, but when I finally surrendered into parts of my own recovery, things really started to shift.

Then came the curious questions from friends! They were interested in what I was doing and how I'd made the changes, which led to how I spend my time today.

After catching the farming bug while working on remote outback Australian stations, I was fortunate to co-build a successful Organic produce farm with my partner. (Adventure stories for another time)

Today, I’m based in Coffs Harbour on the East Coast of Australia. I meet with clients online, in-person and run group experiences.
I travel home to London, UK as often as possible to stay connected to family and friends back home. x
