Stressed, overwhelmed, on the 'tippy edge' of burning out?
Here we restore stable foundations through awareness, Breathwork, daily rhythms and self-discovery.
You can create a beautiful life and do epic things, but the solid base comes first.
WHY 'I GET IT'
At 28, whilst working on a brilliant award-winning TV series (with the best crew in the world), my whole world came to a crashing halt. I burned out, big time.

I experienced endless and I mean, endless symptoms because my 'physical and emotional' bases were absolutely depleted and in total chaos.
Years of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome followed.

If I knew then, what I know now, it wouldn't have happened... but I just didn't fathom that I wasn't invincible at the time.

It wasn't until I couldn't get out of bed, that I was forced to listen to my body.

It was a big wake-up call and it took years (as well as a move to the other side of the world) to get myself back to feeling healthy again.

Today, things are feeling a whole lot lighter and I'm grateful for every single simple day where I get to choose what I want to do and I CAN do it.

Alongside my own recovery, I've been deeply immersed in study, training, and studying some more. In recent years I've been providing support in a variety of ways.

Someone smart once told me that 'it feels good, to feel good'.
They were right, it really does. And I want that for you too.

SCOPE & TRAINING
Mel is an applied breath resilience instructor (in the final stages of Certification), Somatic Breathwork Facilitator, and has completed Compassionate Inquiry training — weaving together the mind, body, breath and nervous system.

Her practice draws on the evidence-informed base of breath science, the somatic depth of embodied emotional inquiry, and the human warmth that makes people feel safe enough to gently open into self-inquiry.

Trained in Compassionate Inquiry — the method developed by Dr. Gabor Maté — and certified through the School of Breath Science's Applied Breath Resilience Instructor Training, she brings both the science and the humanity to every session.

She is currently completing the Oxygen Advantage protocol training and a Diploma of Counselling toward ACA registration.

Mel works with private clients online and in-person from Coffs Harbour, NSW.
1. Intro Breath & Allostatic Load Assessment
This 90-minute session gives us an idea of how your allostatic load is sitting (accumulative effect of long-term stress) — how you're breathing, how you're recovering, and how the load may be impacting you.

Using a structured set of evidence-based measures, we build a clear baseline together. From there you'll gain insight into what may be contributing to how you feel — and what your system could need to be able to shift.

A powerful standalone session, but also becomes the foundation for everything we build together if you choose to go further.
(1.5 hours · Online or in-person, Coffs Harbour NSW)
2. Grounded, The Program
RESTORATION TO RESILIENCE
Guiding you from burnout/ overwhelm using a progressive 3R system: restoration, regulation and resilience.
Moving through three clear progressive phases — at your personal pace, integrating each step in order to support long-term stability.

Restore — slowing down and exploring present awareness. Understanding personal state, longer term traits, habits and beliefs. Building the foundation needed before anything else can shift.

Regulate — exploring the breath more actively, what's driving your stress load, and starting to build the tools that create real, lasting change.

Resilience — expand your capacity to meet life's demands with stable, efficient recovery.

Our capacity to live a full life we love comes down to the foundation it's built upon. We start there.
(6 - 8 Sessions · 1 hour · Fortnightly · Online or in-person, Coffs Harbour NSW)
3. Breathwork & Self-Inquiry Session
SINGLE SESSION, 1:1 OR PRIVATE GROUPS
A single session to slow down and reconnect. Breathwork and curious inquiry woven together — creating space for awareness and gentle self-discovery.
Available for individuals, couples, small groups and workplace teams.
(Online or in-person, Coffs Harbour NSW)
A soft place to land.
For those looking for somewhere to reconnect.
Here we explore how long-term stress (allostatic load) could be contributing to overwhelm, poor health and challenges with regulation.

Let’s soften some of those survival edges and explore what's driving them.

I offer a human-to-human experience that's warm, compassionate and where all parts of you are welcome.

Space to decompress.
Life can feel fast and full at times.

These moments offer space to slow down and gently drop back into connection with ourselves.

Slowing down takes courage. It can sometimes feel uncomfortable to explore what’s sitting there right beneath the surface. We create space for that here.

When we meet ourselves with gentle, open curiosity, we expand our capacity to meet others in the same way.

Imagine a world with a little more patience and compassion for each other?
welcoming all parts of ourselves
the parts which simply make us human
